Hurricane Irma

Frank, and any others in its path, please stay safe and let us know how you're doing.
Save the XR, if you can, but remember, it's just a thing, and things can be replaced.
Good luck to all
Regards
Roy

+1!
You left BR; right? Hope you are safe where you are!
Damn, I cross my fingers; hope it will not be as bad as on the Caribbean islands!

I'm in Boca Raton FL and right now seems that the eye will be heading to the West coast of Florida.
Because the size of the bitch is huge (wider than the state of Florida), we will get a lot of wind and rain. I think that if nothing changes we here should have a Cat 3 but that is just my opinion.
Winds should start getting stronger at around 20:00hrs (5 fours from now) and the main event should be around 5:00hrs on Sunday with very strong winds.
My wife and I will be at a neighbors house hanging out with about another 3 or 4 couples...
Will update as soon as possible...
Right now we are in waiting mode... not fun... adrenaline starts rushing...
Time for a couple drinks!!!

Thanks !

Yes, right now she is moving up the West side of Florida.
Two days ago we were expecting a Cat 4 but right now we are getting 70 mph wind gusts and rain so everything seems ok for us here on teh East coast...
As it goes, I don't believe it will get any worse... phew....

Thanks all!

Had no electric/internet until a couple hours ago...
Some pretty big oak trees down on my neighbours and some others roofs but all is good!
Thanks all!

Thanks for the update Frank.
It sounds as if you had a lucky escape compared to some folks.
I hope that you can all get back to 'normal' as soon as possible. It must be pretty devastating for everyone affected. Wouldn't wish it on anyone.
