Joint expeditionary force (JEF) lead by GB, consists of 7 countries GB, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands and Norway.
And from the 30th of June, Sweden and Finland will join.

Its a non demanding rallying of joined forces in EU, an alternative to NATO.

If Sweden needs aid GB say they'll be there, a jolly cooperation :D .

Sounds good but wonder how it works when we leave the EU? . . . . .

Also, and this is the dinosaur part of my make up, I cannot get my head around Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania (or some of the other countries out that way) being in Europe!

The original idea of the EEC was pretty sound and was made up of France, West Germany, Italy and the three Benelux countries: Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, followed by Denmark, Ireland, Norway and the United Kingdom.

After that we got Spain, Greece and Portugal then from the mid 90's it seems to have expanded eastwards into what were the Eastern Bloc countries, we even get Australia in the Eurovision song contest now!!!

Hmm seems I have digressed from the point shows you what a rainy evening in Europe does to you when your on holiday.
After me you're first

JEF has nothing to do with the EU other than geographic.

Sturgis,
the QE won't be operational until at least 2020, and not sure if we'll have any 'planes for it then, or even crew :!:
And the biggest mistake, they decided not to fit a catapult ????

Is a catapult needed for new planes?

Carries 40 planes, that's lots of planes and a lot of money.
The carrier alone cost £6,200 billion and probably more than that.

Elizabeth like big toys.

Without it the aircrafts range is deceased, and you're tied to VTOL/STOL aircraft.
Also the F35B has a few flaws in it's design, mainly they reckon it uses all it's fuel to reach max speed
Would you buy a 200mph bike that used all it's fuel to reach it's top speed :?: but the good thing about a bike running out of fuel is that you don't fall out the sky
If it ain't broke, chances are I didn't touch it
