Getting to grips, Me on the 1000RX at Squires classic bike show 2 yrs ago

I got 165mph on the clock in shorts and T shirt from the M62 liverpool rocket end to the first Huyton turn off (this is not far I think I hit it on the slip road) in the late 80`s or early 90`s) I pinched it off my mate outside the pub for half an hour.It was derestricted as there was a 120bhp gentlemans agreement in europe at the time,i think carb sliders or something.I wasnt looking were I was going just the clocks :)

I know where you mean, drive it regularly.

Wasn't it funny tops to the carbs that stopped them opening fully but you could change them with the ones off of a ZX9 or something?

Bet you had a protective 'perm' in those days to go with the rest of the safety gear you had on
After me you're first
