Oil change Softtail 2006 filter.

Hi,

Does anyone have a tip on how to remove the oilfilter without the special tool needed?
The filter is just next to the engine and my normal removal tool doesn't fit in between the filter and engine.

I'm one second from using a knife and trying to turn it around, but maybe thats a cheap shoot that could end up with more work.

I've got a thin one that fits over the end and you use a socket arm to turn it.
First time I didn't have anything and done the old 'hammer a screwdriver in and twist it' worked but oil went everywhere.

I used to own a twincam softail, I used to use a 2 jaw type tool similar to this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/like/221960504814?limghlpsr=true&hlpv=2&ops=true&viphx=1&hlpht=true&lpid=107&chn=ps . You can't get it a full turn with it, but you can get about 1/4 turn with it, reposition the tool and go again until its lose enough to turn by hand. I still have the tool and use it on the XR.
